Morbidelli Motorcycles

Morbidelli motorcycles hold a cherished place in the history and world of V8 bikes. The Italian Morbidelli corporation of Italy was one of the pioneers in the construction of innovative V8 engine motorcycle design and construction.

Morbidelli was an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded by Giancarlo Morbidelli in Pesaro, whose 125 cc racing motorcycles were particularly successful from 1975 to 1980. The Morbidelli motorcycles had an impressive list of feats in the 1972 and 1975 and 1977 Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships. Until 1976 Morbidellis were not available to private buyers. They were only available to their professional racers. After this time, they built a factory to produce them for private buyers.

In 1994 Morbidelli built an a unique and inventive shaft drive, five speed, 32 valve, liquid cooled, 847 cc, 90° V8, sport touring motorcycle. The Guinness Book of World Records listed it in 2001 as the world’s most expensive motorcycle.
